Happy National Burrito Day! The inventor of the burrito is unknown, but it's likely that they originated in Northern Mexico where nearly half of the country's wheat is produced. By the 1950s, burritos had become a staple in American dining. Today, they're considered Mexican-American cuisine as they're not a popular dish in many regions of Mexico. Americans, on the other hand, can't get enough of them.

In a survey conducted by Moe's Southwest Grill, the majority of respondents said they eat at least 1 burrito per week. The same survey also reported that 53% of Millennials would choose a delicious burrito over a date. That's how much Americans love burritos.
