
After "Mad" Anthony Wayne's 1794 victory at Fallen Timbers, settlers began to inhabit the area now known as Whitehouse due to its canal access and good farming land. The village was named after Edward Whitehouse, Treasurer of the Wabash Railroad. The town plat was officially recorded in 1864.

the butterfly house at wheeler farms | 11455 obee rd
Unfortunately the Butterfly House is closed for repairs after a spring storm, but right now is the perfect time to visit Wheeler Farm's corn mazes! There are 3 corn mazes of varying skill levels and the theme this year is the good old Glass City. You can also visit Wheeler Farms in the winter to find the perfect Christmas tree.
